How the Daily Pulse works

Once a day, at a surprise time, you have 3 minutes to send friends a photo, a short clip or a thought. You see theirs after you post yours.

The 3 minute window

Once a day, at a surprise time between 9:00 and 22:00 your time, the Daily Pulse window opens. You get a notification and have 3 minutes to send friends a photo, a short clip or a thought of up to 280 characters.

Give to see

Your friends' pulses stay blurred until you post yours. Once you do, the blur lifts and you see them all. Then you can react or reply right in the chat, with their pulse quoted above your message.

What you get for posting on time

Every one of your chats gets +5 BPM. You also see how many friends have pulsed today, for example "4 of 7 friends pulsed today".

Missed the window?

You can still post later, until midnight. It shows as late and does not bring the BPM bonus. Details in The late pulse.

How long a pulse stays

A pulse you receive stays until midnight in the time zone of the person who receives it. Then it is deleted, photo or clip included, unless one of you saved it to Moments.

Your streak

Every day you post a pulse, on time or late, your streak grows. See Streak and streak protection.
